'Tis not the job of a moderator to stop people writing here. The rules are pretty simple:

reported ad hominem attacks will be investigated (and if found to be true) or write stuff that could get the site into trouble

and you'll either be warned / your post deleted, or - worst case scenario -  banned either temporarily or permanently.

This particular thread has had a vigorous exchange of views, and perhaps more heat than light. But the quality of the debate - it seems to me at least - is down to the lack of information.  That, in and of itself, means that whatever side you happen to be on is for a fan, very frustrating.

So, I have no intention of closing threads just because the quality of the postings isn't great. That is not the role of a moderator.

If you wake up the following morning you can always delete something you wish you'd never said.

Why would he want to invest in us I wonder ?

arent our shares held all over the place ?

If you add up the larger Shareholders who have over 5% then your pretty much 50% - if Propco is part of the deal ie buying it back then Im sure they would be more than happy to sell there shares to someone with real cash to invest in the Club and a decent track record at other Clubs- Ive just heard the rumours same as everyone else BUT it is feasible to get to 50% - current Board couldnt block something that was in the best interests of the Club - which a serious Investor would be - plus dont Forget Barnsley made a nice profit on Liam Lindsay so we will be on there Radar - obviously could all be nonsense

If you count McMaster Family and Hughes Family as one Trading Block each - there are 9

at the time of STJ there were "non thistle " Investors also due to the type of share having Tax Benefits - so add them and 50% is feasible

The last Share issue diluted the 10% Shareholders down to approx 6%

If the rumours are true - thats been going on for a number of Months

and Im sure they will all be more than happy to get there Money back whilst at the same time getting a serious Investor in the Club maybe even Propco Back - there is no downside - thats why Im not dismissing it until Club make a formal denial

And all the Shareholders served on the Board so they all know each other
