What’s the formation?

Three at the back, two wing-backs WAY out wide, three in midfield, although Gordon is playing more like a forward, Cardle linking midfield with Miller up front. Working pretty well, but fair play to Queen's, they're working really hard to close us down.

Switched off for the first thirty minutes of the second half, then got it together again for the last fifteen. Why has it always got to be the hard way with Thistle?

A few takeaways from the game: Sean McGinty is on his way to being a fans favourite; Kenny Millar can still cut it; Tam O'Ware is an absolute rock at the back; and James Penrice was an absolute revelation in midfield - Bannigan needs to watch his place. (Banzo, by the way, had a mental fifteen minutes when he couldn't do anything right.)

Anyway, another win. Hope they play better on Saturday.

How did Gordon (and Palmer) do tonight? Couldn’t make it but was there on Saturday and thought Bannigan was very good while Gordon was average.

Bannigan was poor. Gordon showed flashes and Palmer was the best of the 3, imo.

Just my opinion but I thought Gordon was poorish both Saturday and tonight.  Not really got going yet unfortunately

Surprised to see people pleased with Miller and Palmer. Miller took his goal well but seems to play most of the game on the half way line - leaving nobody up front. And Palmer was invisible for the majority of the game.

A win is indeed a win, but it was a win against a League Two side who were very poor. Enormous improvements needed - and a number of quality signings - if we want to challenge this year.

There's space for both. Cammy Palmer looked a million  miles off a Championship player tonight.
