Turns out he flew in from Australia but your  not allowed to have a medical till 48 hours after a long haul flight .....hence the delay

That makes sense. Just occurred to me that his Twitter account might be operated by someone on his behalf - it looks like a commercial operation. Presumably in Oz!

Partick Thistle are still hopeful of signing Mitch Austin despite a hitch in his medical, according to a report.

The Australian was in Glasgow over the weekend and a deal was expected to be completed.

But bruising suffered in his last game at Sydney FC has held the deal up and scans on an ACL injury are also being studied, according to the Evening Times.

Signing expected in next 48 hours. Medical found bruising around his knee and due to him suffering a previous ACL Thistle want his scans inspected by experts in Glasgow

looks like Caldwell is trying to sign every crock going

We are delaying a signing on the basis of bruising, to ensure there is no ongoing injury, and that means we are signing crocks?

Obviously talking about the 2 already signed smarty pants. De vita looked done in after only 10 minutes on Saturday

Austin would be a cracking signing though so let’s hope all is well and it goes ahead
