marco77
Obviously wanted him to do well, but it was the wrong appointment and couldn't see any signs of improvement.

Lanarkjag
It's more a sigh of relief, than anything else. If he'd backed up his treatment of people with results then I would've had sympathy for him. I have very little for him - Karma's a b****. Important the club takes its time to make the right appointment and isn't duped by utter bull at the job interview.

jlsarmy
They should take time to make a new appointment, nothing leftfield , time to get our Club back on track , time to get the feel good factor back into the Club , Doolans testimonial on Sunday was a example of what a great bunch of supporters we are , Thank God that clown is away .
Semi Nurainen
Well done the 'new' board, got rid of JLo and now her idol Caldo - between them they have cost this club a fortune.
Third Lanark
Don’t like anyone losing their job but he’s going to be well remunerated and didn’t really take the club forward i defended him some time, had despite some dud signings a good eye for a player but that’s it too many negatives now hopefully we can get a new manager bounce

javeajag
From McBookie.... A further statement expected later today from Partick Thistle so we will wait to see what that says before pricing it up. Hearing they might already have someone lined up
Fearchar
The board may have to resort to players self-managing for a spell, unless they made approaches before the sacking.

It's perhaps just as important that the Board have contingency already in place. Also preferable imo that whoever comes in has a firm understanding of the Club. Others will argue that an appointment of somebody with no connection to the Club would be a more objective solution. Just feel that the balance has swung too far in one direction and requires correcting. Wouldn't be surprised if the great atmosphere/emotion etc surrounding Sunday's testimonial didn't play an element in the decision making. By that I mean the timing as opposed to the near inevitability of the decision. I sense when you get a high proportion of the normal home fan turnout attending a testimonial of an ex player it's bound to register.

Firhillista
It had become inevitable. Wonder if it didn't happen on Monday because someone was being lined up? We need an experienced manager. Don't mind if they're' Thistle minded' or not.
