Auld Jag
With about 19 hours to kick off and no match thread , thought I would start one. We now have a manager who as far as I can make out most of us have faith in. But he has had less than a week in charge and also had to prepare the team for the Celtic game. It would be great if we came back down the road with our first league victory of the season, but a point would also be a reasonable result. scotty
I'm not really expecting much from this game apart from some sign that IM is going to be able to motivate the squad. So even if we get beat some fight from the team will be a positive.
Semi Nurainen
Point would be an excellent result, AJ. Bunter made the point that to lift players confidence you need a good result to turn the corner (not rocket science, we know): but he actually said sometimes that results might juts be a goalless draw against a difficult side where the players know they've done well. Here's hoping.
Norgethistle
I think we will win a stuffy game

Mr Bunny
My guess at the team formation but it could easily be 4-3-3 with Saunders defensive midfield. We'll see soon anyway Scott Fox Ryan Williamson Tam O'Ware Sean McGinty Steven Saunders Tommy Robson Joe Cardle Cammy Palmer Stuart Bannigan Kenny Miller Dario Zanatta Subs Jamie Sneddon James Penrice Ben Hall Reece Cole Shea Gordon Raffaele De Vita Osman Kakay Edited September 28, 2019 by Mr Bunny

Big Col
Damn! We’d be better playing with 11 outfield players and no keeper . Fox is awful.

Like to hear from someone there (maybe you are?) but sounded like a free header despite playing 3 centre backs?

gianlucatoni
The Fox hunting season must have started already 5 shots on target for ICT so far - sounds like 4 of them must have bounced off an invisible force field as - if you believe it's all the keepers fault brigade - Scott would have been nowhere near them ffs

Yeah Saunders got caught under it but again we failed to cut out the cross unfortunately. Saunders has looked quite rusty in first half

Mr Bunny
Not there but reading reports sounds like they had more shots so therefore more of the play. On other hand didn't sound like we were getting a doing so maybe second half we can sort a few things out and get something out of this game. So so, some decent tackles and clearly in there for his height against a big ICT team. Not going to get us moving forward though. Good goal from Zanatta but we haven’t offered much else, although ICT haven’t had many ideas either Williamson’s positioning continues to let him down
gianlucatoni
Still in it at 1-
partickthedog
Focussing on the positives, our goal was brilliant. Palmer won tackle in midfield and ball quickly shuttled left and Zanatta cut in and hit a daisy cutter low at the near post. Like Alex Shalk for Ross County v us year we nearly made top 6. Saunders should have done better for their goal but to be fair their striker is over 7 feet tall.
