Jaggernaut
Well done to Accies for winning in Govan last night, despite being bottom of the league. They, like so many other teams, manage to win against them. We fold/roll over belly up against them, time and time again, season after season, regardless of how crap they are. Discuss.

Nothing to discuss. We know our place. The Blue and Green scumbags must be obeyed.
jagfox
We've got far more pressing problems. We did okay against Celtic the last time we played them though.

Emsca
Hamilton are a far far better team than us. They have a style of play which all the players understand and believe in and they stick to it. Most importantly they bring on their own young players and give them opportunities in the 1st team accepting that they will make mistakes. Example the boy Hamilton at centre back . Basically they are a well organised well run club.
Muscat Jag
More relevant to discuss why we can't beat Alloa at the moment.

And we have shipped 13 goals in our last 4 games against Dunfermline (8 so far this season). To put into context the Pars are averaging less than 4 goals every 3 games against the other 8 sides. Muscat Jag
I was told, before the game on Tuesday, that our last clean sheet in the league was against Dunfermline. Given the above statistics that is truly frightening.
a f kincaid
Before Tuesday night, Thistle's last HOME league clean sheet was against Dunfermline 8/12/2018. The last league clean sheet before Tuesday Night was 4/5/2019 AWAY to QOS. [Before that QOS game the previous 6 clean sheets were all AWAY from home.] Last win at Ibrox was 31/10/1981. There have been 17 league matches at Ibrox since then - 3 draws and 14 defeats. F17, A44. Counting all league home matches in their various guises, 601 of 2068 (29%) have been clean sheets. Muscat Jag
Yeah, now you mention it, think it was in reference to clean sheets at home. Not a single clean sheet in the league at Firhill in 2019. Absolutely terrible statistic.

That's a shocker even by PTFC standards - a record surely.
Auld Jag
Some on this forum used to slag of St.Johnstone and say they would rather be in the lower leagues than play like them, really.

Every time I have seen us play against an Old Firm team in the last 15 years the players have looked like they don't believe they can win, aren't interested in the game and just want to get to the next one, or see the badge on the other team's shirts and chuck it. Hamilton see every game from the start of the season as a battle for points which is why they have survived in the top flight longer than us with lower crowds and less resources. It would take a whole paradigm shift at PTFC from top to bottom for us to achieve a result like that at Ibrox - and it won't happen any time soon with the current board. A lot of that came in the last 6 or 7 years from Archie and Co , not believing they could get a result , not playing our strongest team and putting more emphasis on results with the teams round about us . That worked well !
