No team needs to play twice. The economy will restart after the lockdown is ended long before a vaccine is generally available. Why can't these 5 games be played behind closed doors with carefully tested players and officials - say in July. It could be done over one or two days, and some income gained from the sale of TV rights. Monies due to clubs unaffected by these matches can be distributed now. For the few remaining, SPFL loans at zero interest could tide clubs over until place money is determined. The 2020/21 season could then start as normal assuming social distancing has ended. Not perfect, but having the lower leagues decided on the same number of games played by all teams is infinitely preferrable to the current SPFL proposal. Its a mix of trying to suggest that the end is in sight, we have clever people and also trying to suggest that the UK Government is at the leading edge of the response to Coranvirus rather than being cuplable for the disastrous herd immunity approach. I've seen a similar article suggesting that Dundee University were making great strides. In reality Germany are the leaders in developing a vaccine and they suggest a year or so to do it. You are putting 50+ people (Players, managers, officials etc) in close proximity which goes against all guidelines. Even having one team in the dressing room or using (Shared) showers is against all guidance, plus the same for dug-out. They will reassess the situation start of June. Remembering that the daily rise here is 134 yesterday compared to UK 11329 and a lower percentage of population per million infected 1218 Vs 1305 per million.
