Austria began loosening its coronavirus lockdown three weeks ago, with thousands of shops reopening. Health ministry says it has not led to a new spike in infections, though further vigilance is necessary. I’m dying to know about the cafes

The UK have another problem coming to them at the end of this year, and that is BREXIT. If we go off a cliff I would guess you could take your estimated recovery time and multiply by 2. At the time the Industries mentioned were all key parts of getting people back into work , lots of tradesmen etc , not sure what people are going back to now if this carries on much longer . Germany’s Robert Koch Institute (RKI), official public health agency reports continuing fall in new coronavirus cases. German reproduction rate – R rate – falling to 0.71. There were fears that easing lockdown would have to stop when it crept to 1 a few days ago. This is maybe controversial and not based on any fact, all countries that go into heavy sustained lockdown seem to see huge losses. Whilst those that haven’t don’t seem to see the same level. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Austria all seem to be coping way better (% wise) than those with more enforced lockdown like Italy, France, Spain, UK, NYC

Health and social care need strengthening, there is a huge need for a social housing building program our infrastructure (as in cycle-paths, public transport) needs a huge boost to make it fit for use, do you want me to go on? When the UK came out of WWII the debt to GDP was around 270%, within 30 years is was down to 50%. Its a fair point to an extent, but I think we need to realise much of the world will be clamouring to borrow after all this. Which will almost certainly drive borrowing rates up, regardless of currency you borrow in. Also, on the specifics, World War II debt was paid off in 2006. 61 years later. Our allies loaned us the money at favourable interest rates.

Yip , who do you sell cycle paths to ? , transport as it is just now is absolutely on its knees , do you really think in a recession that’s coming you’re actually going to get a government to invest in social housing. We need to manufacture things etc etc and export to other countries , we’re going to have to support start up businesses and put our faith in the entrepreneurs of our country to get back on our feet . The governments ( Scotland and the Uk ) were ill prepared for what is happening just now ( PPE , contact tracing ) and now we’re all paying the price . Brora & Kelty H into bottom tier It's okay for us but I just don't see how you can take 4 clubs and stick them all in with the teams that were previously in the leagues below them. After the season is over. And not even completed. It may have the democratic advantage of only burdening a few while suiting many. But surely if there is a threshold required within League 1 this could not carry.
