Debut looked like we had a player, failed to live up to that thereafter.

Ayr at Firhill he looked a very good signing, but it was downhill after that. Edited June 7, 2020 by Auld Jag
Big Col
Yet another baffling Caldwell signing of a talentless lazy player. Good riddance.
Dick Dastardly
Zanatta looked like a great player when he was with Alloa and I thought we had captured a player. For some reason (like so many) something happened at Firhill that sucked all the adventure from his play. Don’t think he would ever turn it round, but I would not be surprised if he turns up somewhere else to bite our bum.
dibble
Shame would like for him to have stayed great talent for the future. McCall wanted him at Ayr before Caldwell brought him to thistle
lady-isobel-barnett
On previous that's no loss at all but I kinda agree with dibble. McCall's the type of manager that would've maybe got the best out of him.
Big Col
McCall’s struggling to get the best out of anyone. That’s why we finished bottom of the table.
Auld Jag
If my memory serves me right, he didn't start many under McCall.

elevenone
I am not complaining that he or indeed Fox are off but from their perspective timing seems odd and given the current climate no is really signing anyone so they have both both chosen no wage/furlough over sitting tight and picking up a wage for the foreseeable. Maybe the releagtion release clauses are time sensitive given both have went this weekend.
sandy
I’m a bit disappointed, there was a good player in there somewhere.
p12tfc
Wouldn’t mind knowing what other contracted players have release clauses
Grubber8468
No loss whatsoever!! Flattered to deceive and inevitably did nothing! Two of worst offenders from last season away... things are looking up!

Get a feeling they have been told anyone with clauses or offers of new deals has been told take the weekend and think it over so we know come Monday the state of play for next season and what we need. Would be good to get some closure and direction as to what kind of team we will have to build on for whenever the new season starts.
Weebaw1
Another loser. Fell down and moaned to the ref all the time.
gianlucatoni
wonder if he tripped and fell over on his way out of the Firhill the standard of player the club will be able to attract is significantly diminished & after what appears to be the start of a cull, I fear for what's about to get signed
policemans whistle
A couple of weeks ago on Tam and Stu, an East fife player, Denholm I think, was asked any player in the lower divisions to look for in the coming season. His answer was the boy Lyons at Montrose who is going to Thistle, is a fast tricky winger who scores goals for fun.

In truth a player that was ahead of his time, in social distancing at least. Dario was often as not two metres away from his nearest opponent when he'd collapse claiming a foul.
Weebaw1
The continued existence of the club is paramount. I still believe in McCall who may well have managed to extract a bit more from some of the miscreants who got us relegated. Possibly Dario would have eventually come good under him. But I’m hoping they can cut costs by further releasing some of the dead wood. All clubs will be in the same position so I wouldn’t have a problem if we only retained 4 or 5 including Docherty and Lyons then cut our cloth by signing the best available from the frees list when we eventually get going. ( even if some are part time).
Garscube Road End
A player that McCall wanted at Ayr. This highlights McCall's failure to get anything out of any player in our ultimate relegation/ demotion. Her's hoping a few more are out the door soon. Bannigan, O'Ware, Williamson and Penrice for starters. Edited June 8, 2020 by Garscube Road End
