That depends on what the SPFL decides to do in the particular case. If they are still members of the SPFL, clubs that fail to fulfil their fixtures presumably end up occupying the bottom spaces of their divisions unless they are expelled by a resolution of the clubs. As in how much they had already received and how much they got in the final payment. I don't have the former to hand, but as best I understand it, every club in every division has received essentially the same amount of money as the other teams in their league so far. This may be slightly different for some Premiership Clubs if they have guaranteed a top-six position but I'm not sure. The amount they have received so far is the vast majority of what they would have been entitled to had they finished bottom of their league. The total prize money for each position is set out in this Daily Record article: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/spfl-prize-money-available-your-21866037 We know from what League One chairmen have said that Forfar and Stranraer were only still to receive about £2k each, which strongly indicates that a big share of the money had already been distributed. But that would still mean, for example, that Raith Rovers and Falkirk were due about £40-55k each. Assuming similar arrangements in the Championship, Dundee United will have been due in excess of £380k. 1 minute ago, jlsarmy said: Lots of your points are pertinent especially the solidarity payment to relegated clubs , but it basically comes down to the governance of the SPFL to make sure they applied “ duty of care “ to all its member clubs to make sure they weren’t adversely affected. But it wasn't a decision of the SPFL Board not to make a solidarity payment. It was a decision , by omission, of the SPFL: of the clubs as members themselves. The SPFL Board cannot unilaterally sanction solidarity payments. If the clubs wanted to make solidarity payments they could have amended the motion to that effect. They chose not to. Should have been part of the resolution which is once again down to Doncaster and Co , pretty unlikely Clubs who have voted in the main out of self- interest are going to try and amend any resolution which is going to cost them money. Those against it could have proposed to amend the resolution. A court is not about to tell a Board of Directors what proposals they are or are not allowed to put to the members, an overwhelming majority of whom were in favour of the measures in question and voted accordingly. gianlucatoni
Today's the day unless SPFL decide otherwise. Unanimous decision is what we won't see _ cue more division and strife.

JAGSMAN1968
"The teams in each league would meet home and away, with the SPFL using "reasonable endeavours" to ensure no more than five of any club's other nine fixtures are away." So, what are the odds of us getting Cove,Montrose and Peterhead away then??
lady-isobel-barnett
This is what's totally daft, requiring 75% in favour. So if 14 of the 20 clubs are in favour that's not enough. It's not as if in this case there's even a status quo. It's then fair to assume that those 14 clubs will want to start at the next opportunity and thus six clubs can in effect dictate when the season starts. Btw I still think 27 games is nonsense when we could have been talking about 26 games in a 14 team league.
QXBoy
Dear Mr. Doncaster, please explain what is meant by "reasonable endeavours". Not exactly rocket science - five teams have 4 home/5 away, the other five have the reverse.
a f kincaid
How about this? This voting request is suspended. Clubs given 28 days to vote on whether they should be given 28 days to repond to the proposal. Once that's done, they're given another 28 days to vote on whether the 75% majority required should be across both divisions or treated separately. One club spots that it was not clear whether the eventual vote deciding this was across both divisions or individually. Another vote is called once this is clarified - another 28 days. Start the original request again. If 28 days is needed (with discussion in between) takes us up to the end of October at which point clubs say they haven't been given enough time to resume training and the start date is pushed back. Clubs are given 28 days to vote on a new start date. Leagues 1 and 2 start around late November/early December. First Saturday wiped out by snow. "Reasonable endevours" means finding a way to try and avoid Thistle getting 3 home and 6 away. As QXBoy says it's not rocket science but why even mention it unless 6 and 3 is a possibility? gianlucatoni
of the 9 remaining games, play the first of the 9 at a neutral venue & then have 4 home & 4 away - then no one has additional home advantage

I realise it's a one off, and getting as full a league completed is a major priority, but it could have (and should have) been so much easier and more equitable.
