Junior
Wish I had gone now Great result for the youths and for the club. Will show to other youngsters thinking about joining in our youth system that we can give them the opportunity to win things. Congrats to everyone involved

GrantB
Great stuff!!! It's fair to say that we rode our luck in the 2nd half but I'll take that any day of the week. You could see what it meant to them at the end. Fantastic scenes.

Fawlty Towers
Congratulations to all the lads and coaching staff Given the tight financial situation we need these guys stepping up to the first team next season and from what I have seen and heard there are a few players who can do a good job for us - the future is not as bleak as some may suggest! honved
I enjoyed that today although at times our backs were against the wall. We had to withstand two or three periods of pressure and Livi hit the woodwork twice late on, both from free kicks, before the decisive penalty. The handball was a bit harsh but the player concerned miscontrolled with his foot and the ball spun up onto his arm before landing at his feet again so it was bit more clear cut than something like a ricochet. Good number of Jags fans plus the Chairman and Finance director, as well as Ian and Gerry.
Big Dave
That was a good day out and a good game. Both teams were good but our goalie was the difference. Great performance. Had to laugh at the Livvy fan who was shouting that we had ringers in the team. Silly fool! Away the Jags!!

Fawlty Towers
Having seen MacBeth, Burns & McGeough recently in the first team and been impressed by them I was wondering if anyone who watches the under 19s on a regular basis can say who else we should be expecting to feature next season? With Boyle being told he can go if he gets a deal from another club and Archie injured for the start of the season do we have a potential replacement at left back in the youths? Norman
Thoroughly enjoyed the bits that I saw when not checking up on my daughter's activities or escorting her to and from the play-park. Well played lads. In a beautiful demonstration of the innocence of childhood, my daughter spent most of the afternoon playing with the daughter of a Livi fan. Clinically Depressed
Pics of the lads with the trophy as well as Kieron's winning penalty strike are now added to the feeshul site article on today's fine, fine win. The lads done good.
yoda-jag
Just in. Great result and performance from the young Jags. To pick out a few comments from others: Great stuff!!! It's fair to say that we rode our luck in the 2nd half but I'll take that any day of the week. You could see what it meant to them at the end. Fantastic scenes. Indeed. The second half in particular was back-to-the-wall at times, but as good a side as Livi were, they found themselves up against a Jags eleven who were full of energy and pride and who deserved to triumph in the end. http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/2009-2010/may_2010/thistle_lift_the_sfl_youth_cup Report and reaction. Livi's discipline went after the full-time whistle. Not used to losing. Poor show from both players and 'fans' of Livi at the end right enough. That was a good day out and a good game. Both teams were good but our goalie was the difference. Great performance. Had to laugh at the Livvy fan who was shouting that we had ringers in the team. Silly fool! Away the Jags!! Scully was very impressive today, some great full-length diving saves, and certainly deserves a chance next season with the first team - as do a good number of the players who played (in the pink and grey). Some of the comments and attitudes of Livi fans both during the game and especially after it were laughable and marks of very poor losers and on todays evidence Livingston fans must have an IQ level extremely close to OF fans, and thats saying something. Makes it all the sweeter to live in the town I can hold my head up high this week. There was a great example of what you are describing behind me, some of his comments were hilarious. I never heard any comments after the game though. Their players were spitting the dummy though especially the big ginger guy who I mentioned earlier. I hope someone captured his tantrum on film. northjag
Fantastic result. Well done the under 19's. Just saw the livingston line up on their website, all 4 jacobs brothers played along with others who play for their first team regularly. Some achievement considering livingston's record of producing good players. Since we are short on money this is the way to go by giving the youngsters a chance. It gives the us reason to be positive. McGeough possibly challanging paton for right back spot next season? Mon the jags

PaleGreySky
kyle lochhead was brilliant im midfield, as was stuart bannigan. macbeth's passing improved and began to be dangerous in counter attacks, but i hear he is away. shaun faser(?) the sub striker has a good attitude and, if he improved his fitness, looks useful. very good win and made a reputable and evidently very good livingston side look ordinary. so it it properly emphasised and so it doesn't seem like just a few passing comments by people, the livingston team were a disgrace. their language, manner and general approach to the game is pretty disgusting. when we won our penalty, burns was about to take it and their number 3 decided to start a fight with macbeth(presumably to put burns off), while the ref dealt with that, their keeper came out knocked the ball of the spot did some keepy uppies and took the ball away from burns. burns then replaced it and the keeper stood over the ball and wouldn't get on his line. gamesmanship of the highest order. last laughs though, eh? speaking of laughs, the number 4 who gave away the penalty was, early in the game, to be heard shouting to burns 'number 10, number 10. i can read you like a book!'. two minutes later burns chased down the keeper and tully scored. 5 minutes after that, burns chased down the keeper, went round him and the ball ended up in the net(og?). burns later scored the winning penalty as a result of the number 4s handball. Mediocre Pundit
Excellent result - really chuffed for the boys and for Ian Cameron. Hope MacBeth isn't away, and if he is I hope we at least get good money for him and get him back on loan when he can make a difference to the first team (possibly next season) Would hate to think John Henry has ripped us off...
