I know someone who is refusing to work when they could take a job. I'm sure that's not the only one. Therefore not a lie.

If you know someone who is claiming JSA and is refusing to take up a work opportunity then fair enough. your mate is a criminal under the current law, we don't need Dave to change it.

Therefore, is a lie, caught hook, line and sinker :):):D:D

Dave isn't saying change the law. He's saying enforce the law. Get a dictionary and look up the definition of lie.

Two points:

1. Gordon, you do realise that you're in charge at the moment, don't you? Why didn't you choose to do any of this good stuff BEFORE the election?

2. In closing statements someone MUST make comment that Brown may have said some good stuff in the debate but they wonder what he will say behind the audiences back when he goes off stage. Please.

Brown's done well here. Probably agreed with him more than any of the others. Still won't vote Labour.

Rapidly going off Clegg. I suspect he would be a decent PR guy, but is coming across more and more (to me) as hollow and unconvincing. This 'old parties' nonsense has worn completely thin.

Cameron has missed his opportunity, though.

Maybe these 'debates' have been a real waste after all.

:thumbsup2: Cameron, Osborne, Clarke, Howard, Hague, Andrew Neil, City Bankers, Investment Bankers, Michael Forsyth, Malcolm Riftkin, Margaret Thatcher, Allan Clarke, Norman Lamont, Michael Portillo, Geoffrey Howe, Ted Heath, Winston Churchhill Jnr and Snr....

Our boys did you good and proper.................

We will change Britain now. Lib Dems are on the march :D

:thumbsup2::thumbsup2:

Did I just see Brown refuse to shake Cameron's hand at the end?

Didn't see it but its totally believable.

Honestly though, you'd have to say Clegg won that by a canter

We're going into a hung parliament now though and probably another general election later this year.

Have to disagree (strongly as it happens). Brown did well. Clegg, for me, cam across as hollow and facile; I got really cheesed off with this "these old parties" thing when debates were going on.

brown is finished after his remarks, somebody should put him out of his misery, its just not right

Cool, but I thought Clegg did what he had to do (which to a large extent was just to avoid a massive gaff)

You won't get to make comments like this for long if either of the fascist CCTV parties are elected. Trust in the heritage of Asquith and Lloyd George.

Brown was boring as he kept going back to the tax breaks for the rich. Cameron was weak as he refused to answer it every time. Cameron's thrown the race big time but the question is whether or not the vote will be sufficiently split to give anyone a workable majority. Doubt it now.

Exactly - an older party. Fascist CCTV parties, though; good one!
