lady-isobel-barnett
Do Real (soon to be Un-)Sporting de Gijón have any connection with fortified apple juice? Pity it would make a nice farewell occasion.

Blackpool Jags
Blackpool Good shout, but now that they're Premier League and all that...ooooo. I hope they don't forget where they came from.
Blackpool Jags
... and while we're on the subject of a possible friendly in Blackpool, the chaps might take note of how 'pool manager, Ian Holloway, compares a win. For those of you who reject comparisons between winning matches and getting your Nat King, please don't view this clip.
Sivad
Magners make cider. Magners sponsor the Celtic League. That's it - we're playing Glasgow Warriors.
SirJohnLambie
And the last friendly is...... Bristol Rovers Proof!
uberteeb
A home fixture against the Gasheads is hardly a glamour tie. If only we were playing them down at the Memorial Ground, that would be a quality day/weekend away.
twinny
We are delighted to have Bristol Rovers as our English opposition this pre-season. I think it is great to have fresh opposition and obviously, when you are talking Coca-Cola Championship, then the standard is very high. The Incredible Adam Spark
Oops, someone's getting their Bristols mixed up. That kind of thing could end up in a sexual harassment suit.
Tom Stronach
Confuse Bristol Rovers with their greatest rivals. What a great way to endear us to our visitors. It's little things like that which make us an absoulte joke of a club. Edited May 26, 2010 by Tom Stronach

You can blame the club for a lot of things but what an Evening Times journalist writes in an article in his paper is not one of them. Ronaldinho
Oh dear. You can blame the club for a lot of things but what an Evening Times journalist writes in an article in his paper is not one of them. The words appear to be a direct quote from McCall, so I would guess he is at fault for saying it, rather than the Evening Times journo for writing it. Pie Of The Month
The words appear to be a direct quote from McCall, so I would guess he is at fault for saying it, rather than the Evening Times journo for writing it. The same article has a direct quote from McCall as "we get into competitive action with the Challenge Cup draw on Saturday, July 24." I somehow doubt McCall has mistaken a game for a draw. Although if he has then I'm sure someone will use it as an excuse to claim the club is an embarrassment.

Tom Hosie
Opposition not fully confirmed but they do like cider. Apparently this post didn't go down too well in some quarters (a bit like cider in fact ) Sorry about that. Rest assured there will be no repeat(unlike cider ) in the future. It's little things like that which make us an absoulte joke of a club. You say nothing excites you about Thistle anymore, you constantly pick anything you can to call the club a joke and you seem overly willing to insult and abuse people on here. If it was anyone but a Thistle fan saying the stuff you do I think many would be a lot less tolerable with you. You are a Thistle fan aren't you? Edit: I have used the word 'you' 9 times in this post (10 now) Edited May 26, 2010 by Steven H
