JimS
Hear that Ayr United are to celebrate their Centenary big-style with a match against Motherwell!!! Question arose about who we played, if anyone, for Thistle's centenary in 1976. Anyone remember, please?? Could be down to playing in the anglo-scottish cup and with the league cup still played in sections back then that we couldn't find the time
JimS
Both probably right - don't remember anything myself.
Pie Of The Month
Hear that Ayr United are to celebrate their Centenary big-style with a match against Motherwell!!! Question arose about who we played, if anyone, for Thistle's centenary in 1976. Anyone remember, please?? Is there any significance in the opposition being Motherwell? Either way they've probably went the right way about picking the opposition. It's completely pointless requesting a big team such as the English Premier League teams as they tend to send a squad of youngsters no one has ever heard of. I'd imagine Motherwell will bring a few fans through for one of the better away trips too.
