Halliwell is being tracked by an Irn-Bru First Divi-sion club and two Second Division sides, and also has an option to head for the Blue Square Premier League, but Thistle remain his first choice. Mr Bunny
Good News! Another Superb Exclusive From Bert!! Halliwell is being tracked by an Irn-Bru First Divi-sion club and two Second Division sides, and also has an option to head for the Blue Square Premier League, but Thistle remain his first choice. Looks like McCall may be worried another club gets him first and has gotten permission to talk with him. I'd expect maybe 3 other players coming in. If we can move Boyle and Corcoran on, then 2 full timers - a defender (who can play left back or centre back) and a midfield player - and a loanee or two. If not then maybe 1 player and a couple of loan players who won't cost too much.
erzamacaroonbars
It is good news, so we are going to be playing with a keeper afterall!
Lindau
Yep, good news and the guy seems to desperately want to play for us. Get him signed now!!!
Yellow & Redneck
McCall needs to sign him now, his performance against Ross County at Dingwall was a spectacle, and is an experienced goalkeeper. If McCall was smart he would tie up the deal now, I would feel far more relaxed with Halliwell between the sticks than Hinchcliffe.
crazy davie
It wasn't that long ago that Halliwell was the form keeper in the 1st Division.
GrantB
Hate to be the prophet of doom but Halliwell hasn;t been decent since his Clyde days. He was rotten at Dunfelmline, St Johnstone and QoS and was at Forfar last season. However, if he can keep up the standard that he set for himself at Ross County, he'll be a good signing. I think he's a gamble especially if we only have Hinchcliffe as backup.
Fearchar
If the report is accurate (and who knows if that is the case, with the standard of journalism in this country) Bryn Halliwell isn't so much negotiating as pleading for a contract with the Jags. He really should get advice or an agent before speaking to journalists like that.
fatnallyjag
other than maybe Ludovic Roy, and he can be dodgy on his day anyway, I really can't see us geting a better Keeper than Halliwell, If he recaptured his Clyde form then hed be a great signing.
