The Mighty Quinn
is sevco 5088 a film or a pantomime? i need clarity
The Sunnylaw Jag
As a movie let's hope the sequel is as funny as the first film. As a Pantomime let's hope it has a continued run and is brought back by popular demand
yoda-jag
disagree Sunnylaw. i think as a movie franchise, it should die once and for all after the current one runs it's course, and be forever consigned to the annals of history (i'm sure there's one too many 'n's in there). The Sunnylaw Jag
It's not easy to make a good fictional film about football. The action scenes never look realistic. Can't really think of a good one. Escape to Victory is entertaining but only because it's complete nonsense. Best film I've seen is a documentary called The Other Final about a game arranged between the 2 lowest ranked teams in the FIFA rankings, Bhutan and Montserrat, on the same day as the 2002 World Cup Final. A real feel good movie with guys that just play for the love of the game. The match commentary is brilliant. Of course tv has never done too well either with the exception of the true to life Jossy's Giants. Of course Taggart did have that murder up in Firhill but does anyone remember the episode of possibly 'Bulman' which was a great show, that featured an episode set in and around Glasgow with Firhill being a big part of it? secret peter
Theres Only One Jimmy Grimble and Mike Basset England Manager were both really good. The comedy route is probably the best way to go with footie films. M.B.E.M. proving, as if we did not know, that the English are not able to have a laugh at their own expense when it come to football, lots of empty cinemas south of the border! (a few up here as well , if memory serves).

JeredStirlingsrightfoot
I can't believe there aren't more people opting for Shot at Glory, I remember in what must have been 97-98 when John McVeigh was here and the Record was running the story of the film for what seemed like all season. I don't remember Kevin Gaughan having a cameo?
