stevie fae partick
With the club statement about Archie not having home fans behind him in the dug-out area surely the sensible move would be to move the dug-out to the JHS and one problem less to contend with ! Anyone with any other thoughts ?
peagreenboy
Having cameras point at the Jackie Husband stand would certainly make Firhill look a lot better on telly. However there's those bloody poles in the main Stand to block the view! The dugouts should be moved though.
scottymagoo
They'd get in the way of the half time draw.
ChewinGumMacaroonBaaaz
A totally unnecessary waste of money. It is the very opposite of "sensible". Edited May 14, 2014 by ChewinGumMacaroonBaaaz
scottymagoo
Archie and Shaggy say they're no moving anyway..... "Why should we move? We've stood here for two years. Thistle would be nothing without us. If they move us we're no coming back" Edited May 14, 2014 by scottymagoo

H Wragg
Would have to sink the dugouts pretty deep to avoid blocking the views of punters sitting near the front of the JHS.
stillresigned
I've just have good idea, build a drand new 100, 000 seater stadium at Firhii, borrow the money don't pay it back, then enter liquidation, alright we might have to spend a couple of years in the lower divisions and with the money from tv it won't be so bad. topcat
For most games the lower 5 or 6 rows are not very full. Putting the dugouts on the JHS side isnt such a bad idea. Archie and Scotty could then lead the team onto the park as well. Maybe 30 or 40 seats could be removed behind the dugout. But having a view of the fans by having the TV cameras sited in the Main stand would make the highlights so much better and sell the club better to attract more supporters. Even better the away team fans get the restricted views and the poorer facilities until some is done about the Main stand
gerrybritton9
I think moving the dugouts to jh is a good idea. Archie would have that noise behind him and the team. Maybe the tv gantry could go where the dugouts currently are to to try to avoid those poles. We might need to remove seats from the jh stand, but that's been done before ......... Jaggernaut
Just a point though: if a tv gantry was built at the front of the main stand it would need to be high enough to give a view of the entire pitch. This was done several times for Warriors matches, when the main stand was not being used. The presence of that gantry, along with the poles, would render the main stand pretty much useless as a place from where to watch the match. Couldn't even put Thistle fans in there, let alone away fans.
